The Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) is the federal independent authority responsible for the development of the national curriculum, assessment program and a national data collection and reporting program that supports the learning for all Australian students. 

As the leading independent body for the education of primary and secondary children across Australia, their website is the central source of truth for teaching professionals to locate version 9.0 of the curriculum and the supporting teaching resources. 

The challenge

ACARA launched a brand new, highly user friendly website built on Adobe Experience Manager to align with the release of version 9.0 of the Australian Curriculum. This new website was to meet with ACARA’s directive to improve the digital presentation of the Australian Curriculum. 

To facilitate a smooth launch, ACARA needed a team with Adobe Experience Manager expertise, who could provide next level application support, incident management, and resolve any high user-impact issues swiftly.

With over 40K+ monthly visitors to the website, made up of teaching professionals and government stakeholders, uptime and high response time is key. 

ACARA wanted to make the transition from version 8.4 to 9.0 of the updated curriculum as seamless as possible for schools and independent teaching professionals. Therefore having both versions available is crucial. 

The Solution

JAM recommended an extended monthly ticket cap to take care of urgent and high priority issues without the worry of overage costs for ACARA and provide a high level of service support during their launch period.
